Comments / pictures
Ancestor Giovanni ("Polenta") Coda Prin was stuntmen in the cinema, when the cinema was shot in Turin and he later went to Circus. His son Fiorentino (born on May 15, 1916) went to the Girardi Circus, where he married Martina (1912), one of Pietro Gerardi\'s daughters and granddaughter of his fathers collegue Matteo Gerardi. Fiorentino and Martina had three sons; Pietro, known as Piergiovanni (born 4 March 1941), Roberto (b. 26 October 1944), Fiorentino (b. 30 October 1950) who was called "Fiorentino Jr."
1972: The three brothers Fiorentino Jr. Pietro, and Roberto Coda Prin founded their own circus in 1972 with official debut as the Circus Hanmar in Rome.
1975: Debut with a three-track circus in Sant'Arcangelo di Romagna.
1974-1976: Tour in Spain and Portugal, when the elephant Andra is mentioned, with Davide Coda Prid as presenter.
1984: Upon returning to Italy, the circus changed its sign for the first time and became “Circo Morena Orfei” (Oscar Orfei\'s daughter).
1988: the circus took the name of “Holland”, later modified with the sign “Circus Holland presents Morena Orfei” and Christmas was spent in Malta. It was Greece that hosted Coda Prin in the following years.
1990: the circus returned to the name "Holland".
1991: After the Sicilian tour they go back to Italy and we find them in Pescara for Christmas. Upon returning to Italy, the circus takes on the sign "Lena and Rinaldo Orfei".
1995: the partnership with
Rinaldo Orfei
ends with the square of Matera. Following the circus acts in Calabria, so going on a long tour in Croatia with the original name "Circus Hanmar".
1997: for a short time the circus takes the name of "National Circus Italy", a good part of the year they spend in Sardinia, Christmas is in Cagliari and for this reason the name of the family circus undergoes a small transformation and the current sign “Circo Alex Hamar” is born.
Both abroad and in Italy the original name of the Hanmar Circus in some circumstances has undergone small variations, such as Amar and Hamar, which is the name that was definitively taken on by the Coda Prin family: Alex Hamar.
