Description

Senningen Zoo , located at Rue de la Montagne, in Niederanven, Luxembourg , opened for public in 1968. Senningen Zoo closed down in 1982.


Comments / picturesThe Zoo in Senningen opened its doors in 1968. it is reported that in it’s first year of business it was host to 125,000 visitors.

1973-1974: arrival of Asian elephant "Mama Dou" from Circus Carl Althoff. Her destiny is unknown.

The zoo permanently closed in the early 80\'s due to animal rights related criticism.
