Comments / picturesWilliam "Bill" Woodley was assistant warden at Nairobi National Park and later at Tsavo East, and 1953 married Daphne Marjorie Jenkins, a sister of his collegue at a boarding school. Soon after their daughter Jill Woodley was born, Daphne fell in love with Bill Woodleys boss , David Sheldrick (1919-1977), who after their marriage in 1960 brought up several orphaned elephant babies at their elephant orphanage
