Comments / picturesIn December 2006, the Lee Richardson Zoo sent both of their 24 year old female African elephants to the Jacksonville Zoo as breeding candidates for the Species Survival Plan. They joined 23 year old female Sheena and 15 year old male Ali. In return, Missy and Kimba (36 and 24 years old respectively) were transferred from Florida to Kansas.
