Robinson and Eldred Circus, United States , was founded in 1845. Robinson and Eldred Circus closed down in 1856.


Comments / picturesJohn Robinson had the circus Robinson & Eldred together with Gilbert Eldred, from 1845 until they split in 1856. On June 28, 1856 in Richmond, Virginia, the eleven-year old partnership between John Robinson and Gilbert Eldred came to an end. Robinson & Eldred’s Great Southern Show was no more.

John Robinson started his own circus John Robinson. Gilbert Eldred continued to travel, under the name Southern Circus.
