Comments / picturesSafari Park (Urdu: سفاری باغ) is located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Safari Park has a zoo, children\'s playland and a large number of gardens. It is one of the major recreation and amusement areas in Karachi. Karachi Safari Park is situated at Main University Road, extending in an area of 300 acres (1.2 km2) land, inaugurated in 1970 by Lieutenant General Atiq-ur-Rehman. It was an independent project of the then Karachi Municipal Corporation, following with creation of independent department of Zoo, Safari and Aquarium in 1995.
