Description

Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary, in Senmonorom, Cambodia , was founded in 2002 and the first elephant arrived in 2002.


Comments / picturesAituated in the foothills of the Annamite mountains. At 2,926 km2 this is the largest new protected area created in Cambodia since 2002, with more than 950 Species recorded within the protected area.

2002 known as Seima Biodiversity Conservation Area

On August 7th 2009 the Royal Government of Cambodia\'s highest legislative body, the Council of Ministers declared the creation of the Seima Protection Forest (SPF).

2016: changed name to Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary.
