Sabi was the first elephant inseminated elephant cow in Europe, and her son Abu was the first european AI birth.


In Vienna, she was still in free contact, and was sometimes walked and ridden through the Zoo. Later, in Halle and Beekse Bergen, she has been managed in Protected contact.
