When Circus Sarassani arrived to Poznan they said they had this very dangerous elephant male, he was throwing things toward keepers etc, he was really aggressive. One night he escaped from his cage and headed toward the warehouse. Circus director started to shoot to him because the elephant was really dangerous. But he didn’t kill him, elephant got 12 bullets and as a result he had artery behind the ear damaged – and he survived. After getting hurt he came back to his cage in the area of Poznan Zoo. Keepers from circus were so scared of him that they left him as a gift for Poznan Zoo.
