Comments / pictures

Records about Lizzie (Wallace Liz) from William "Buckles" Woodcocks Blog at http://www.bucklesw.blogspot.com/
The square headed elephant shown in most of the pictures is "Lizzie", the head-carry elephant is "Blanche". These were Cheerful Gardners two key elephants starting in 1923 when he joined the Corporations John Robinson Circus until they were taken away to the Ringling Show in 1939.

Unfortunately both died the same day 11/5/41 in Atlanta, Ga. as a result of the poisoning that cost the Ringling Show 11 elephants.
