Comments / pictures

In 1938, Clyde Beatty received three elephants from the Cole Show in lieu of backwages Mary, Sidney and Anna May.

During the early seventies, the King Brothers Circus presented a three act of elephants with Ola, Conti and Sidney. They were reduced to two elephants after Sidney's death in 1972 until Carl Conley brought his young elephant Anna Marie to the show. She performed a single act in addition to the two act of older cows presented by Bobby Cline.

Sidney was a female named for one of Wm. P. Hall's daughters.
Her last few years were spent with King Bros. Circus (Beatty Show #2 Unit) and died in 1972.
