In May 1993, Charlie Gray imported the full sisters Phoebe and pregnant Lilly together from Ramat Gan, selling them to African Lion Safari the next day. Lilly had been bred by her full brother Alexander at eight years of age in Ramat Gan, both born to parents Motek and Warda. Piccolo's father is listed in the North American Asian Elephant Studbook as #363. However, there is no such elephant listed in the studbook under this number. The European Asian Elephant Studbook lists her father as Alexander.
