Vatsala was born in jungles of Kerala and rescued from Nilambuj forest area...The elephant was brought from South India and now Keralas Nilambuj Forest Circle...In year 1971, elephant was brought to Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh and then in year 1993 she was relocated to Panna Tiger Reserve
