Ruppert Bemmerl , circus elephant trainer in Switzerland

Bemmerl was born * 1931 in Steinach Germany dead 2013-02-13 Rappersville, in Switzerland .

Ruppert Bemmerl was one of the leading elephant trainers in European circuses of the postwar period and an expert on the animals. In the seventies Bemmerl presented three elephant bulls in the ring, the african Tembo and the two asians Mohti and Siam.

He also presented a tiger act from Knie on Circus Busch-Roland 1979, and from 1983 responsible for the Rappersville Kinderzoo.
